The Holistic Home School of Feng Shui Online Certification in 2021!

In July 2019 I launched my own school of Feng Shui based in the style I’ve developed over the last two decades and also what my book is based on, The Holistic Home: Feng Shui for Mind, Body, Spirit, and Space. The all inclusive retreat in upstate New York was a huge success and the intention was that I would offer this retreat once a year.  Before the next in-person round could occur the following year,  COVID happened and I took the course online. This past Fall I had the honor of teaching 10 incredible women this course for seven weeks. Now, when Tuesday night comes around, I find myself missing them all. I learned that there are definitely advantages to having this course via zoom. It allows for an intensive load of curriculum to digest and be applied in real world applications much easier. This January 2021 I am so excited to be offering this online certification course once more.

The Holistic Home Company Celebrates Five Years in Business!

I started The Holistic Home Company five years ago this month as a way of making all natural beauty and wellness products with my then eight year old daughter. Back then, the products connected the Mind, Body, Spirit and Space and today, that philosophy is still present in everything we do. The Mind portion cover the psychology and subconscious symbolism of our products. Every product is encouraged to be used with a positive intention – whether that is visualizing you are releasing the negative while using our Good Juju Body Wash, or that you are elevating the energy of your dinner table with our Crystal Napkin Rings.

The Holistic Home: Feng Shui for Mind, Body, Spirit, Space Wins The Gold!

Last week I was honored to receive the GOLD award for The Holistic Home: Feng Shui for Mind, Body, Spirit, Space from the Independent Publishers Book Awards. This book took ten years to write and changed and evolved as much as I did through out the writing process. It went through three different titles, over forty rejections and one literary agent that came and went. I ended up getting a book deal on my own. Needless to say, it was a lot of hard work, perseverance and an unwavering belief that this book would get published. One of the most meaningful moments of my life was

The Holistic Home School of Feng Shui is Coming!

For years I’ve been asked if I taught certification classes in the style of Feng Shui that I created. Although I teach Feng Shui and Architecture continuing education credited courses at Pratt for established architects, I don’t have my own Feng Shui certification program. For those that contacted me because they were interested in becoming a Feng Shui consultant, I’ve always said no and tried to recommend them to other schools of Feng Shui that had seminars in their area. Some would reply that they they were only interested in the holistic feng shui that I write about in my book. Years and years passed with me giving the same automatic reply until finally – after emailing three people in a row in one day that “no, I don’t have my own school…” I had an aha moment. Why not? Why shouldn’t I be the one to teach others about this?

The Holistic Dog: Inside The Canine Mind, Body, Spirit, Space has launched!

It’s here! The Holistic Dog: Inside The Canine Mind, Body, Spirit, Space (Helios/Skyhorse) has launched and is now available on Amazon and soon, where ever books are sold! What makes this book so special is that it is both a reference book for holistic canine care, as well as a stunning coffee table book of photographs of dogs in their spaces accompanied by their unique stories.

After writing the stories of 108 dogs, I noticed that there are often deeper lessons behind the dogs we choose to have in our lives. Compassion, perseverance, companionship, exercise, care taking, patience or unconditional love are all some of the life lessons that these four legged creatures teach us.

What Does It Mean To Be A Successful Woman in Business? Here’s My Answer.

Earlier this week, I was asked by ClickMedia to answer the question, What does it mean to be a successful woman in business? I thought about how I defined success and how that definition has changed through the years, as I’ve grown both in self and business but I hadn’t really thought about it in specific detail. One of the great side effects of being asked to give an answer that will be published widely, is that it causes you to pause and evaluate your perspective. In gathering my thoughts, I realized that my intuition seems to be what has guided my success. Here is the answer I gave them:
