The Holistic Home Book is coming out with a Revised Second Edition!

After steady sales, an award and several printings, the Holistic Home book will now have a revised second edition, coming out January 2024! I am so thrilled about this and have been excitedly working on the updates, as well as a whole new chapter that delves into the afterglow of The Holistic Home book! A Feng Shui Retreat, A Holistic Home Feng Shui School, and opening a flagship store and Wellness Center have all helped craft a meaty chapter that addresses the most common Feng Shui questions I get asked.

In wanting to make this revised edition as good as it possibly can be, I have read nearly all the Amazon and Good Reads reviews, and while I deeply appreciate the extensive, thoughtful and positive ones, I tend to ruminate on the not so good ones.  Some reviews I totally see their point (“part of the book reads like an advertisement for the author’s company”). Fair enough, but I have zero regrets. Creating a business with products and services that is built on the concepts I created in this book, is an integral part of my story that I feel is warranted to include.  Some, I think, are unfair. Doodlelet gave a one star because “As a coffee table book pictures don’t translate well on the Kindle.” Not even a word about the words, just dissatisfaction with technical aspects of the Kindle. Three Star Bob “needs a more basic reference” but three star Linda said, “it’s too basic”. I felt that Linda and Bob negated each other, but a review from “S” I simply don’t understand: “I wanted instruction on how to furnish my home with a vengeance shui aesthetic. This book was not that.” Perhaps S meant a Feng Shui aesthetic? If so, here’s a reminder: A Feng Shui’d home is not a style of decor. It’s a home that is any style of decor you love – from modern farmhouse to minimalist to midcentury modern to Moroccan. It’s a home that is clean, organized, sustainable, inspiring, well-laid out, efficient, balanced, and supportive of the goals and interests of those who live there. A Feng Shui makeover rarely reads like a big before and after of a television design show finale. The changes might be visually subtle, but they are energetically grand, with far reaching effects.

Stay tuned for more, as I go deeper into clients and students Feng Shui questions and strive to make this book even better than before.
